Aquarelle #01, 2021

Aquarelle est un projet qui est né chez Alexis Lacroix. Au printemps 2020, mon accès à l'atelier fût impossible mais je ne me suis pas arrêtée de travailler pour autant. J'ai dessiné, au stylo bic puis à l'aquarelle, jour après jour ce que je voyais, chose que je n'avais pas faite depuis mes études aux beaux-arts. De retour à l'atelier, j'ai utilisé ce nouveau médium pour faire de nouvelles œuvres, en partant d'une feuille blanche et en y invitant des croquis fais dans l'atelier ou à l’extérieur.

Aquarelle (Watercolor) is a project born at Alexis Lacroix's home. In spring 2020, the access to my studio was impossible but I did not stop working. I drew, with a pen and then with watercolor, day after day what I saw, something I had not done since my fine arts studies. Back at the studio, I used this new medium to make new works, starting with a blank sheet of paper and inviting sketches made in the studio or outside.
